The Overwatch 2 release date has been leaked by a Official PlayStation account! On Twitter the Official PlayStatin Brazil twitter account tweeted the release date and quickly deleted it.
translation: “2020 will be the year Overwatch 2 comes to PS4, and for that we prepared, we talked to some of its developers, who gave us hot information. Read the Interview”.
The interview enclosed is an interview from late November 2019 and doesn’t contain any new info. If this was a weird mistake or a planned tweet for next week we won’t know. But considering it is an official PlayStation twitter, we take this leak very serious.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Overwatch 2 game director Jeff Kaplan has explained how long the campaign will be for the sequel of his successful shooter. As we know by know, Overwatch 2 won’t be ‘just’ a DLC package, it will be a full fledged game to enjoy.
“I play a lot of games, and I can’t think of a single DLC or expansion of this magnitude,” Kaplan says in the interview. He doesn’t say how long the campaign will be exactly, but gives some insight on their vision. “It will be a complete story experience like you would expect from any blockbuster game.”
