During the World of Warcraft The War Within press event, Holly Longdale, the executive producer and vice president of World of Warcraft, told GamesRadar+ that the dream of World of Warcraft coming to Xbox still exists.
The possibility of World of Warcraft coming to consoles has been discussed for a long time. At BlizzCon 2023, Longdale to Gameradar that Blizzard Entertainment is interested in the idea and talks about it frequently. She suggested that technical challenges may not be a major issue, but adapting the game’s accessibility for console players could be different.

During the World of Warcraft The War Within press event, GamesRadar+ inquired of Holly Longdale whether discussions have opened up about the possibility of WoW making its way onto consoles now that the dust has settled following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
The executive producer and vice president mentioned that: “The dream remains. We’re so focused on delivering what’s on our slate for players and our expansions. There’s honestly no room for that conversation yet. But you know, the dream is real.”
Blizzard is in with the idea of bringing World of Warcraft to consoles, but they haven’t set any definite plans or timelines for it yet.
