Blizzard revealed that Season 4 will be postponed by one month to ensure a thoroughly developed and stable Public Test Realm.
During the Campfire PTR chat, Diablo developers disclosed that Season 4 would be delayed by a month. Because Season 4’s PTR is close to the end of Season 3, the decision has been made to prolong Season 3. Diablo 4 Season 3 will now conclude on May 14th. The Diablo team aims to “ensure we get all the feedback from this PTR, and we apply it to Season 4 to make sure that all these new system changes that we are doing are right.”
Also during the campfire, developers revealed that the PTR will be exclusive to PC Battle.net, meaning console players won’t be able to participate in the PTR for now. However, there is a possibility that console players will be included in future PTRs, but for now, this one is only available for PC Battle.net users.
The updated launch date for Season 4 is set for May 14th, 2024. Consequently, the scheduled PTR will commence on April 2, 2024, and conclude on April 9th, 2024.
