Blizzard President responds to World of Warcraft Pirate expansion speculation

Blizzard’s President, Mike Ybarra, responded to a tweet about the next World of Warcraft expansion with a straightforward “No Pirates.”

Some players thought the next expansion might be about pirates because of the Seafarer’s Pack announcement. This is similar to when the Dragon Pack came out before the Dragonflight expansion.

The team at Wowhead was the first to see that Ybarra had replied to a Twitter user discussing a possible pirate-themed expansion. Mike Ybarra made it clear in just two words that pirates won’t be the focus of the new expansion.

No pirates.
