The undisputed leader of online mobile gaming, the Chinese giant NetEase recorded for the second quarter of the year 1.96 billion dollars in revenue. This represents an increase of 21% compared to last year’s figures and a record which confirms that this market is still going strong, in China but also throughout the world.
This infographic (published by ZhugeEx) we can see the very great stability of the share of mobile games in the turnover of online games. Mobile games alone generated 72% of NetEase’s online gaming revenue for the 2nd quarter of 2020. The Hangzhou-based company takes care of the operation of Blizzard-stamped games throughout China.
All of NetEase’s online mobile games have managed to generate 1.4 billion dollars in turnover just for the second quarter of 2020. And these numbers could still swell with Diablo Immortal.
