The introduction of a Uprezzed Graphics toggle in the beta client of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic is stirring up discussions among WoW fans about the extent to which Classic should embrace graphical enhancements.
As the closed beta for Cataclysm Classic kicks off, players will have the chance to explore the revamped version of the nostalgic expansion in the coming weeks. After the beta phase, there will be an open beta, with the official release of Cataclysm Classic expected in late spring or early summer.
Earlier this week, WoWHead discovered intriguing information during a game data examination. They identified two phrases associated with enhanced graphics: OPTION_TOOLTIP_UPREZ_GRAPHICS (tooltip details) and UPREZ_GRAPHICS (NEW! Uprezzed Graphics).
Now, the feature has surfaced in the options menu as the New! Uprezzed Graphics toggle. Players believe this toggle can enhance the graphics of classic character models while preserving their original style. Although the complete impact of this option remains uncertain, initial feedback from beta testers suggests a favorable reception.

So this ISNT the updated retail char models?
(I hope it isnt, imo)The older models are BIS, honestly.
I dislike the new retail updated char models, super cartoony/clunky & dont look or feel like WoW.
(If they add it in as a toggle so you can pick, then ig its ok but yea..)— Praised (@iamResilients) March 7, 2024
