World of Warcraft: Classic is right around the corner and regardless of if you have or have not played Vanilla, this is the time to experience WoW as it once was. World of Warcraft has a special place in the heart of all fans, I presume, but every experience is a bit different. For me, WoW is about playing with your friends and having fun together. Throughout the years, I have met a lot of people and made a lot of friends, most of them that I got to know through WoW I still talk to on a daily basis. The sad part is, we hardly play any games together.
Insert World of Warcraft Classic. Suddenly, all friends are excited to play a game together again. We have been talking non-stop about Classic for the last couple of months. What class are we going to play? What server? Which race? We ended up choosing Shazzrah, since we want to play PvP, apparently with the rest of Europe, since the server is heavily crowded. I even got other friends, that have never played WoW before in their life, to pick up Classic. They already reserved their name and are taking the week off from work to play the game. We have a group of around ten people with experienced and in-experienced players coming together, and experiencing the game again for the first time. This should be awesome.
I am of course excited about feeling like it matters again when you get a piece of gear, levelling feeling like a fulfilling experience, classes having their own identity and all other things that make Vanilla such a great experience. But what I am most excited for, is our group of friends coming together, having fun and enjoying a game together again.
What are you looking forward to the most in Classic?
