Bethesda Loses Key Executive Pete Hines

Peter Hines, a key figure in the creation of games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Starfield, is leaving Bethesda, where he worked for 24 years. Hines, who was recently in charge of publishing and held the position of senior vice president at the company, said that although it was a tough decision, it’s the right time to go, especially after the successful launch of Starfield.

Starfield, which is like “Skyrim in space” according to Todd Howard, was released on September 6 and received praise from critics. It was Bethesda’s first venture into a new fictional universe in over 25 years. Hines plans to use his free time to explore his interests, help out with charity work, and enjoy life more.
