Bungie revealed in This Week in Destiny (TWID) that Destiny 2 Into the Light is set to launch on April 9.
In their announcement, they explained that this content will serve as groundwork for both seasoned players and newcomers, paving the way for Destiny 2 The Final Shape. This marks the culmination of the Light and Darkness Saga, which began with the debut of the original Destiny back in 2014. Today, Bungie unveiled fresh Destiny 2 artwork that’s fueling speculation, along with the announcement of three separate livestreams where developers will delve into what players can expect from Into The Light.
The exact contents of Into The Light remain a mystery, but there’s chatter about its potential to resurrect old planets and activities that are currently locked away. The Into The Light art hints at Midnight Coup’s return, a beloved hand cannon. Reintroducing a similar weapon might not be wise given its popularity. Leaks also suggest old content’s revival, fitting with Midnight Coup’s potential comeback.
